T00 Y0UNG T0 DiE

This morning when my mom was taking my sister and I to school, I heard something tragic over the radio. A man in Austrailia threw his four year old daughter off a 150 foot drop over a bridge. He had two other children in the car with him at the time along with eye witnesses. About ten minutes after he dropped the girl, police were there and tried to revive the girl but, she later died. The police has no motivate yet on why he did such a thing. Cases like these really hit me hard, just like the Caylee Anthony case, where her mother killed her and burried the body, I just don't understand! Most of the times as little girls, many dream about having their own family and raising children some day. A baby is supposed to be a gift from above and when people do horrendous crimes like these it makes parenting look like a unfit job for some. To be able to have a child in the first place is a blessing. Not every one is able to have children due to medical issues or other problems. People like that would want to walk in their shoes any day and to give it all up just like that is selfish. What really sadden me about this all is that they were young who haven't had a change to grow and see the world. How dare you take a child's life so easily like that, no one has the right to do such a thing. Children are supposed to burry their parents, it's not supposed to happen the other way around.

SENi0R PR0JECT PARTY

Tonight we had our Senior Project party! There, all of my classmates parents, mentors, and sponsors all came out to support the class. My sponsor Ms. Suckiel was able to come out and support me. Our teachers Mr. Abrams and Snyder talked to them about the projects, journals, and things we do inside the classroom. We all got a chance to get up infront of the room and explain what we were doing in each of our projects. Some of the students were becoming teachers, fashion designers, and chefs. I on the other hand, I am doing a project with Mr.D creating a trash sculpture. I want to create it with all recyable goods and everyday trash. I want it to be huge and represent the every day things we use. When I am completed I want to donate it to a trash garden in Philly. A trash garden consists of all trash that is turned into art. I want to donate this so every one from the Senior Project class and any one else who was apart of it can come out to see what dreams can become. I can not wait to get started on this and put it in the news paper.

Words Of Wisdom

I believe in me-
in the things that are important to me and in the way I choose to live my life...I believe that I can accomplish anything I set out to do, that I have many talents and the wisdom to use them well...I believe that I have what it takes to overcome obstacles and to grow from every experience life brings my way...I believe in my courage, my compassion, my intregrity, and my strength. I believe in my goodness...I believe in me.

Live Life & Be Humble

Yes! It is finally my senior year in high school and I could not be any happier. I can finally get into the real world and become my own person with many adventures ahead of me. I am a little scared of the road that is ahead of me but I am really beginning to realize my time is now. You know how they say "live for today, you don't know what tomorrow brings." I am starting to understand what that means. It means to live everyday like it's your last and thank God each morning for waking you up each day. I didn't really understand that until now. You really don't know when death comes. Death doesn't come knocking on your door or gives you a two weeks notice like a job does it kind of just creeps up on you like a shadow in the night. When my father died when I was younger I always asked God why did he take him from me? What was the meaning to this and what did he do wrong? I thought God was punishing us when loved ones died. But, recently when my cousin died only at the age of 20 it hit me. The good die young. She never did anything wrong always tried her best to help other people and adored everyone. The night that she died, it was just like any other night got ready for bed and checked on the baby. Until a fire started and she had no way out of the room but she could only save her baby so she threw him out the window for someone to catch. She died to save her baby and that made her an hero. Another one of my close friends had a promising career at basketball and all of a sudden she had a heart attack. No signs no nothing of her ever having something wrong with her. But, with these great losses I learned something. I learned to appreciate life more and be grateful. Some of the things I've doNe in the past liKe keeping grudges in the end it's not worth it. I remeber Mrs. Porter telling my class last year how she got into a big fight with her dad one morning and later that evening they found him dead. To this day she regrets it because she never got a chance to say bye. I don't want to be that person who fought with a friend or family member and never get the chance to make things right. Right now, I want everyone to know if I ever made any one feel some type of way I apologize. Life is sweet and I'm happy to be here.

HiBACHi

On Friday was my boyfriend Miguel's birthday so I decided to take him to an Hibachi restaurant. At a Hibachi restaurant what ever you order they cook it right in front of you and the chef does tricks with the food. He never been to a place like that nor has the guest that went with us so I thought it would be a fun experience for all of them. The restaurant we went to was in Tunersville and Torrin, Tiffany, Thomas, and Mariel were invited to come along. We all ordered our food of course it took everybody a long time to order because everyone was unsure but finally the chef came to cook. The first trick I remember him doing was turning the fried rice into a heart with an arrow going through it and he also made a volcano out of onions. My favorite thing about the cooking oof the food was the big fire he made before serving the food. The food was excellent. I also brought a cake and on the cake it had Miguel in a batman outfit when he was about six years old. But, the people at the restaurant were so generous once everybody left and we were the only ones there they turned on the birthday music with flasjing lights and had dancing dragons come out. At first it scared me to see all these dancing dragons but I enjoyed it a lot. He blew out the candles and made three wishes saying one out loud. We took lots of pictures and it was very memorable for him and for everyone else. I can not wait to go again.

Weekend Of Movies

This past weekend, I saw three great movies. I saw Notorious, Grand Torino, and Not Easily Broken. Notorious was about a popular rap from the 90's who in his sort career made a big impact on our music today. It told his troublesome life story as he struggled to become something. As a teen he became a father, and also went to jail for many years for because he was selling drugs. It was a very good movie and made me cry at the end because of his death, it seemed like he died for no reason. Another movie I saw was "Grand Torino". It was about a old man who just lost his and he was very gumpy and bitter. He drove away everyone in his family and was very racist against the many people in his neighborhood. He then befriended a neighbor and helped them when a gang started terriozing them. To make a short story short he dies to put the gang in jail and that movie also made me cry. The last movie I saw was called "Not Easily Broken." It was about a marriage that was going thru many changes and and hit a hardship. As the story progessed they finally learned to cope with their differences and become a happy family again. Just like the others, that movie made me cry too.

Y0UR MY ADDiCTiON

Everybody has an addiction whether its a postive or negative one. Some people I know are addicted to drinking, smoking, caffeine, and many other things but to a lot of people's surprise mine is neither one. What is my addiction you ask? My addiction is piercings. Its very odd to some and I always get, "Why would you do that to your body?" or my favorite, "When you turn 50 your going to regret it!" Yes I do understand that my body is very precious and yes my body may get wrinkled and you won't even be able to see my piercings by then but I enjoy them with a passion. How an artist may look at Picasso's painting is how I look at a new piercing. Its just like a work of art to me just on my body. Just like a painter, it takes great skill and craft to come out with a master piece and a piercing artist must do the same. Not everybody is fit to do a job like that. It takes a delicate and smart person because it is not something you can erase or start over like a painting. To me, I love the feeling of being a trend setter and being unique. You get to be your own and a lot of people start admiring you for that. I have 15 piercings all together, five each on my ear, two of each sides of my hips, tongue, belly button, and neck. I recently just got my hips and neck done over the Christmas break and a lot of comments were negative but that did not stop me. After people saw them they all thoight it was cute and now some people actually want them! The pain is a lot to bare with but I am very tolerant now and it does not affect me at all now. I think Im even starting to like it because its not stopping me from geeting more. My next big move is microdemeral piercing and its very unique because its not like any other piercing I've seen before. Its basically an implant into the skin where a screw is placed right under the skin and colorful gem is the only thing sticking out above the skin. The picture at the top is what it looks like. The only way to get it removed is by surgery so its pretty straight forward when doing it. I would like to place one in my lower back with a pink or blue gem. I am so excitied to get it and I hope it comes out nice. In all I want a total of 21 piercing done at least by mt 21st birthday. I hope I can accomplish this goal.
